In the clip we accompany a group of friends during their evening together. The group of heroes ventures into an unknown village, where common stories suddenly become real. The 103-second clip was produced by the Aachen film company “Raw Mind Pictures”. The head of the project is Shawn Bu, who gained international fame primarily through the Star Wars fan film “Darth Maul’s Apprentice” (over 18 million views on Youtube, winner of the Web Video Award 2016).

Yora Adventures is a mobile version of classic Tabletop Role-Playing Games
German indie studio Triclap releases the first completely app driven role-playing game. A modern way to play old-school role-playing games with our everyday devices.

Tabletop Role-Playing Games started way back in our basements. And today they’re hot again. Through modern, medial shows, classic role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons, which have existed for over 40 years, are currently experiencing a new era. In those games friends tell an interactive story in which the Game Master presents the world and its challenges, while the other players assume the roles of heroes and collaborate to overcome those challenges.

Getting into role-playing games and preparing them can be complex – but it shouldn’t be. Yora is here to make this intense gaming experience easy for everyone. It’s a standalone app which contains all materials needed to start playing. No need to carry around books, maps, sheets, dice or pens – with Yora they’re already in our pockets. Wherever you and your friends go, just grab your mobile devices to get started right there.

Yora uses a specially developed rule system, adapted for intuitive, digital use. This ensures that all functions work best with the capabilities of our powerful digital devices. Game Masters use integrated maps, clean adventure text sections, simple NPC handling, and more. Players will be able to create their own hero on the go, level them up and improve their attributes, skills and attacks. They can even collect weapons, armor, items and send them to their fellow players. Dice checks are performed on an instant. No more calculation needed when it comes to cinematic showdowns on the battlefield.

Yora Adventures will be released in August 2019. The first adventure will be integrated to start playing right away for free. Additional adventures will be available in the shop section. In the future completely different universes will be made available, whether Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Apocalypse, Mystery, Western, History, Crime, and so on. An integration of a campaign generator for home-brew stories is already planned. At release, Yora will be available in English and German. Other languages will follow over time!
